Rasan has launched a new Volunteer Development Initiative to train the people who would like to volunteer with Rasan. They were taught the basics of human rights throughout five days and were awarded participation and completion certifications.
On International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, at 25 November 2019, Rasan took it’s activities outside of Sulaymaniyah and to Chamchamal to raise awareness about women’s rights. On April 23, 2020, Lava Association and Rasan Organization announced a collaboration. The collaborative project is called “Protect Yourself” and works on distributing information on the new COVID-19 and preventive measures. The project will be shared on both parties’ social media platforms on Facebook.
Women deserve love and respect because of their positive contribution to media. Just like everyone else, women in media must be appreciated, respected, and not discriminated against. This video is our action-plan regarding one of our workshops supporting gender equality and women in media to get equal opportunities.
Everyone must be aware of their rights, as Rasan, we find ourselves responsible for raising awareness about human rights. In our latest activity in our seminar series, we have arranged a seminar at the Human Resources college at Said Sadiq University. The seminar focused on the legal aspects of things.
Rasan has organized a two-day workshop about Media’s Responsibility Towards Women’s Rights. We believe that women should feel safe everywhere.
Yesterday on November 13, Rasan arranged a seminar at the College of Sharia at the University of Sulaymaniyah which covered engagement, marriage, rights during marriage, divorce, and premature marriage.
