As part of our activities in 2020, we have produced a booklet that talks about members of the LGBT+ community and the proper vocabularies that should be used to address them, biological factors of homosexuality and how psychology confirms it is not a mental illness or related to mental influences, alongside some explanations to how sexual orientation may form in an individual. The booklet also covers theories proposed by scientists such as Havelock Ellis, Alfred Kinsey, Freud, and Evelyn Hooker. There is also a history section that covers information related to the Middle East (in Kurdish) and talks about the history of LGBT+ people more broadly (in English). The booklet contains a section that talks about Iraqi and Kurdish Penal Codes and legality of homosexuality around the world.
